National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week increases public awareness about the wide range of rights and services available to people who have been victimized by crime. The annual observance is a day to recognize the rights and needs of crime victims, and services available to help and honor people that have faced trauma and harm; and pay tribute to victims that are no longer with us. This ceremony is for victims and survivors, and those who assist them!

Denim Day

On Wednesday, April 25, join the Denim Day movement! Denim Day is an international protest responding to the Italian Supreme Court’s overruling of a rape conviction in the 1990’s. Although the assailant had been found guilty at the trial, the Supreme Court argued that because jeans are difficult to remove, the assailant couldn’t have done so without the help of the victim and ruled it “consensual”. Support Groups for Survivors of Sexual Assault

These private groups bring together survivors and anyone effected by sexual assault, regardless of when it occurred.
