Our ReUse Store in Port Charlotte will be getting some updates! Here’s what you need to know:
Sextortion can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. Perpetrators use manipulation, threats, coercion, or deception to pressure victims into sending explicit images, engaging in sexual activity online, paying money, or complying with other demands. These crimes may involve someone the victim knows or a stranger met online, and most incidents begin through social media or other digital platforms. The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) has also made it easier for offenders to create or alter explicit images to exploit victims.
Join us at the Isles Yacht Club located at 1780 W. Marion Ave. in Punta Gorda to hear what it means to walk in the shoes of a domestic violence survivor. This event is by reservation only. Save the date! Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Cars for C.A.R.E. to be held Sunday, November 15 at the Harbor Event Center located at 75 Taylor St. in Punta Gorda. We ask that you bring a $20 donation if you’d like your car, truck, motorcycle, etc. in the show. The event is free to the public for viewing. All proceeds to benefit the C.A.R.E. child care center. We hope you can join us!
