Volunteer

We rely on the people in our community

who share our goal to end violence.

We rely on individuals in our community who believe in our mission to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Charlotte County. Our volunteers are essential to what we do — assisting victims of crimes, preventing crime by promoting safe relationships, raising awareness, and assisting in fundraising endeavors.

There are really no words to show how much we appreciate each and every one of you and your dedication to making our community a better place!

The Center for Abuse & Rape Emergencies is always looking for volunteers. We provide specialized initial training and ongoing training for volunteers who answer the Crisis Hotline, working directly with victims in shelter, hospital, or justice-centered settings. The initial training includes a 3-day, in-person workshop followed by an extensive online course.
