C.A.R.E., along with our partners, host several events throughout the year to support our mission to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Charlotte County.
Join C.A.R.E. and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office to learn about domestic violence statistics in Charlotte County, shining a light on what is happening here in our community. This event is open to the public; snacks will be provided. Event will be held at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office located at 3110 Loveland Blvd in Port Charlotte.
Hear from a C.A.R.E. Board member who also served as an attorney helping victims of domestic abuse. She will discuss the legal steps to getting an order for protection and how the legal system works. This event is open to the public and will be held at Congregation United Church of Christ Church located at 1201 Aqui Esta Dr in Punta Gorda. Refreshments will be provided.
Join us at the Isles Yacht Club located at 1780 W. Marion Ave. in Punta Gorda to hear what it means to walk in the shoes of a domestic violence survivor. This event is by reservation only. Join us at LMCU located at 2120 Kings Hwy. to learn about the different ways people can use to find and stalk you, and how to protect yourself. Snacks will be provided. Join the C.A.R.E. Auxiliary Society on Tuesday, November 10 starting at noon for our annual Friendsgiving Luncheon & Basket Raffle at the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club benefiting The Center for Abuse & Rape Emergencies. Tickets are $40 each and includes lunch.
There will be basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Basket raffle tickets will be 10 for $20 or 30 for $50. The 50/50 tickets will be 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Both will be for sale the day of the event. We hope you can join us!
